Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy – Diamond Foods, Inc., San Francisco California

I joined Diamond nearly two years ago as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy. In this role, I am a member of the senior management team and support the strategic direction of our business. I head up our Investor Relations efforts and am a core member of our Mergers and Acquisitions team. I also oversee our corporate communications team. I came to Diamond after 19 years with the Boston Consulting Group and over 2 years with Google. I joined Diamond because of its dynamic team and entrepreneurial atmosphere. I have not been disappointed! We are all about rolling up our sleeves and getting things done as a team. We are focused in what we do and have a motto of "failing fast and moving on." It's okay to make a mistake, but we want to learn from it. My days are never the same and frankly I don't always know exactly what might come up during the day. In a three day period last year, I met with one of the top growth investors in the country, rang the opening bell of the NASDAQ, took part in negotiating our acquisition of Kettle and showed our Super Bowl commercial to an influential reporter at the New York Times. Maybe not a typical week, but it is indicative of the fast pace and opportunities we have here at Diamond. I have a lot of fun every day I come to work. We work hard here, but we also laugh a lot and truly enjoy spending time together.
